Discussion about the film and the topic of women in the resistance against the Nazi regime
Irma Schwager and Irma Mico are 22 and 28 years old, respectively. From July 1942 onwards, these Jewish communists play a strategic role in the resistance against the Nazi occupation and the Vichy regime in Paris. They seek direct contact with Wehrmacht soldiers and engage in a dangerous game of seduction and political persuasion. Their goal is to destabilise the German troops in Paris and encourage army personnel to desert. The two women did not know each other during their time in Paris, but their stories are strikingly similar. They attained positions of responsibility in the Resistance, a male-dominated milieu, and fought courageously and resolutely for peace.
