In the 2024/25 school year, students from BG Mödling Bachgasse engaged intensively with the life and work of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky. In cooperation with the MSL Center, they developed an interactive virtual reality game based on a 360° capture of the architect’s listed apartment.
The project combined art and computer science classes with practical architectural experience: in addition to virtual tours of the apartment and of places connected to Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky’s work in Vienna, such as the Kapaunplatz kindergarten and the Werkbund Estate, photographs, plans, audio recordings, and quiz questions were integrated. In this way, a learning environment was created that conveys architectural history in a playful and innovative way.
