The various building projects show the architect's further development through her international activities in Frankfurt, the Soviet Union, Paris, Istanbul and Sofia, but also the influence of political constellations on her work. Social commitment, rational analysis and high-quality design remain the constants of her architecture, but Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky (1897-2000) only received public recognition again at an advanced age as a "contemporary witness of a century".
