The restoration of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky's kitchen will start in summer 2024!
The MSL Centre will therefore be closed for several weeks!

We have been working on the planning for this project since the fall of 2023 – now we can start implementing it soon!
 
The kitchen is to be reconstructed in the form in which it was used by Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky.
The aim of our reconstruction projects is to recreate Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky's living space as authentically as possible and make it possible for visitors to experience it. However, the procurement and transportation of original furnishings and everyday objects pose considerable financial challenges.

For this reason, the Federal Monuments Office has set up a donation account that can be used to actively support the implementation of the kitchen reconstruction.
