The Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky 50 Euro gold coin


As part of the series "Austria's Unsung Heroines", Münze Österreich (Austrian Mint) is releasing a gold coin dedicated to Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky.
 
This series of coins honours five famous women who worked in different domains. Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky represents the discipline of architecture.

Next to illustrations of her work – stylised floorplans and a view into a Frankfurt Kitchen – two portraits of the architect decorate the coin's surface.
