Urania Film-Soirée - Everyday Rebellion

Film soirée and discussion on the occasion of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky's release from prison.

The two directors show and analyse creative forms and tactics of unarmed resistance. Many protest movements no longer exist, new ones have emerged. The reasons for peoples' protest have remained the same: repressive systems, catastrophic living conditions, inactive governments.

In addition to current information about the research results of the project "Women and Architecture", we will show the film " Everyday Rebellion" and offer the possibility of a discussion with the director.

The Urania Film Soirée is a cooperation of the VHS Wiener Urania and the Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky Club. We are thus continuing the tradition of the Women's Committee for Film Screenings at the Urania, which regularly showed anti-war films from 1960-1994. Once a year a special film is presented.
